Three petty thugs decide to rob a suburban savings and loan, and end up murdering four women in cold blood. “No witnesses,” was the phrase uttered by the man who provided the guns. “No witnesses,” was the phrase that drove the shooters to commit four murders.
Yet there were witnesses. For weeks before the crime, the criminals had been calling attention to themselves. A local businessman had seen the thugs in his store, suspecting them of theft. Police officers had stopped two of them at night for acting suspiciously. A waitress sold lemonade and coffee to one who would sip it while his cohorts went inside the Cabinet Supreme Savings and Loan to commit murder. And the women who died had reported the killers to the police weeks before they were murdered.
"No Witnesses" tells how great police work yielded the names of the murderers within minutes of the crime. It tells how a young man on the streets bumbles along, surviving by committing crimes, until he becomes a murderer. "No Witnesses" makes you a witness to the trials of the killers. It takes you inside the Ohio prison system and shows how a condemned murderer survives inside. And, "No Witnesses" shows you how the families of the victims work to keep the murderers behind bars.
Written by veteran journalist Kate March with retired Delhi Police Chief Howard Makin, "No Witnesses" reveals the details of the police work that helped solve the crime, the lives of the murderers, and the lives of the victims and their families. Interviews with the principal people involved, in-depth research of trial transcripts and criminal investigation notebooks, are pieced together into a tight narrative.
You will become witness to the true story of murder and robbery in a quiet suburban town when you read, "No Witnesses - The Story of Robbery and Murder at the Cabinet Supreme Savings and Loan."

No Witnesses The Story of Robbery and Murder at the Cabinet Supreme Savings and Loan eBook Kate March Reviews
I chose this book because I am a Cincinnati native and had never heard of this story. I would recommend this book to my niece who lives in Delhi.
What a riveting story. Well written and the in-depth accounts that bring the reader along for the ride are exceptionally intriguing. The extensive research is embedded within a real life story that makes it a page turner. A great read for all.
Kate March writes a compelling and matter of fact account of a heinous crime. Being a Cincinnati native I found myself right there with the investigators, walking the streets of Delhi Township. Kate's writing style gives you just enough to sink your teeth into the piece without making you feel overfed. Kudos to her and Howard Makin for bringing this story to print. I would be surprised if this isn't made into a major movie.
thrilled with this one.
This story will always be in my memory as it happened in my home town when I was a teenager. The story lives on, as the last man convicted of the murder of the four innocent women is going up for parole. Very nice profile of the Delhi Police Dept. It has been 45 years county residents still take the time to protest his parole. ( The other 2 killers died in prison.)
