I'm a big fan of Jules Barnard and couldn't wait to get my hands on Blue Streak. I love the characters, the setting, the drama-filled relationships she writes and Blue Streak is no exception. This time, we get to spend time with Nessa and Zach. Spunky little Nessa has been one of my favorite characters since the first Blue series book I picked up. It was fun to get inside her head and understand what makes her tick. And what makes her tick is Zach. Since I've been wanting a peek inside his head for awhile now, this made me one happy reader. Nessa is as fun-loving as ever as she pines for Zach. Zach's got a pretty messed up past which drives his non-committal ways.Because this is a novella, the story moves along at a rather clipped pace and that's really my only complaint. I would have loved to have spent more time with them, watching the push and pull that Jules Barnard is famous for.
Plot
The plot is a pretty straightforward romance. The chemistry between Zach and Nessa is among the best in the series, so when they finally get together, it's intense and satisfying. Even though it wasn't a full-length novel, there was still a couple of subplots that worked well.
Characters
What can I say? I love Zach and Nessa and this was a fun, fast read.
The Ending
Although it came too quickly for me, it was a satisfying conclusion to Zach and Nessa's story.
Top Five Things I Love About Blue Streak
1. Nessa. I just adore her spunky personality.
2. Zach. He's been my favorite character for a couple of books now, and now I know why.
3. Zach's Dad. He's far from perfect, but the way he's still so devoted to Zach's mom just slays me.
4. Mira. Still love her.
5. Hot Tubs. One of the steamiest scenes I've read that didn't involve sex (although it comes soon after :-) ).
Bottom Line
Blue Streak is a worthy addition to the Blue series. I only wish it was longer!

Blue Streak is a sweet, sexy, satisfying read!
If you ever wondered about Zach or Nessa like I did..well here you go! You finally get to see what's behind those two and see what comes about between them. This is a must read!
Jules did a great job telling their story! I can't wait to see who's story she tells next!!
A quick and fun read. Love the Blue series and this was another great story. Lots of sexy tension, tons of emotions, detailed characters with interesting backgrounds, sweet romance, fascinating setting and a happy ending. Jules really knows how to get inside characters heads and write in their voice, which makes the characters so much more relatable. I want to be friends with all of the Blue series characters!
Nessa is in love with Zach but he puts her in the friend zone for over a year. Zach likes her but his life is messed up. One night Nessa does something to get Zach's attention and he can't resist. Will it become something more or will it be just a big mistake?
Good Story. It is a friends to lovers story which is one of my favorite genres. I thought it could have been a bit more detailed and longer. It was too short. But, I still enjoyed it. The length of it is why I'm giving it 4 stars instead of 5 like I have on all the others in this series.
Great novella about finding and keeping love and growing up. Based in Lake Tahoe with a group of friends working at the Blue casino. I enjoyed this standalone novella so much I downloaded book one to start at the beginning. And now a bit about the story...
Nessa and Zach have been in the friend zone for over a year, even though they each want more. Can one drunken night alone in the hot tub change everything or will his past come back to haunt him?

Blue Streak is a fun, wonderful, and quick read. From the time I opened the story on my kindle to the very end I was engrossed in Nessa and Zach's story. Nessa is smart and notices things about others that most people do not. Especially when it comes to Zach. Zach's the bad boy your mom dreads you'll meet. When it comes to Nessa he's all in. He's sweet and romantic though he has his secrets he doesn't want her to find out. The chemistry between them is undeniable and will have you rooting for their relationship throughout the book.

I loved it so much I bought a copy for myself.
This was a novella and I really liked how it was written. It's scope was very narrow but the two main characters that it did include were well done. I felt the struggle that the male protagonist went through and I love that although he had made many bad choices he was aware of them and had a deep underlying reasoning. The female protagonist was written realistically. I feel that when a woman is truly interesting in a man that she can be a bit crazy especially when there are barriers (friendship) in the way and that the usual route of attraction is muddied. I really enjoy this book! It has sexy times people, just letting you know.
